David K. Daley

He was born June 1, 1931 in New Marlboro, MA the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Keegan) Daley.

On October 9, 1965, David married Kathryn Hoggarth in Walkill, NY. Kathryn predeceased him on October 19, 2011.

David was a dairy farmer in Massachusetts for several years. He then worked at A&P Grocery in Garden City, NY for over 30 years and then for the Baldwin Schools as a custodian for 5 years .

He was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church.

David is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lee Anne and Joseph D. White of Maryland; three grandchildren, Emily, Andrew and Michael White all of Maryland; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Joseph Daley and two sisters, Kathryn Benton and Mary Carberry.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with the Reverend Mary Ellen Moore Pastor of the Milford United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Milford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in David’s name may be made to either Milford Fire Department, State Highway 28, Milford, New York 13807 or to Catskill Area Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, New York 13820.

David’s family would like to thank the staff at Serenity Place at Otsego Manor and Catskill Area Hospice for their wonderful care that they give to him.
