Clinton (CJ) CJ Jon Minor

He was born November 5, 1979 in Sidney, the son of George Martin Minor and Julie Dilello. He graduated in 1999 from Unatego High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Phoenix.

Serving his county in the US Air Force, CJ was honorably discharged in 2005 as a Senior Airman. He was currently employed as an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor at Edwards Air Force Base in California.

One of CJ’s favorite things to do was spend time with his family, especially his daughter. His favorite season was Fall. A social person, CJ enjoyed being outdoors; spending time at the park, going shopping and out to eat. He always had fun taking his daughter to the beach.

He took great interest in motorcycles and four wheelers and always looked forward to hunting trips with his friends and step father, Bob.

CJ is survived by his daughter, Natalie Dawn Minor of Pahrump, NV; his mother, Julie (Dilello) Zaveral of Unadilla; his father, George M. Minor of Guilford; his step father, Bob Zaveral of Mount Upton; his step mother, Jeannine Lumpkin of Ft. Benning, GA; a brother and sister, Ryan and Jaci Zaveral of Mount Upton; step sister, Nicole Crawford of TX; aunts and uncles, Robin and Randy Winans, Gary Dilello, Jay Dilello, Jo-ann Winn, and Jill and Shawn Bookhout; as well as several cousins.

He was pre deceased by a brother, George Bradley Minor; his maternal grandparents, Dawn and John Dilello of Oneonta; a maternal uncle, Bob Winn; and maternal cousins, Johnathan Dilello, and Jessica Bookhout.

On Friday, August 26th in honor of CJ, an order was sent that grounded all F-16s at Edwards Airforce Base. The commander along with the chaplain made themselves available to help anyone who needed it. CJ impacted so many lives there, he is and will continue to be missed greatly.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand Street, Oneonta. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, Octber 7, 2016 at 11:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 39 Walnut Street, Oneonta, with Rev. Edward Golding, officiating.
