I met Roger when I was about 19 years old scooping snow at his neighbor's house. I worked for Roger setting up music equipment for his shows. It was a lot of fun and I truly valued the time I spent with him. Roger was always kind, upbeat, funny and passionate about his music. I miss him very much.  God bless. 

Roger you are missed every day. I can't believe it's been a year. It feels like yesterday.

So sorry to hear of Roger's passing. My condolences to his family and friends.

The golden voice of Roger Webb echoed through the halls of nursing homes and assisted living centers across eastern Nebraska for years. He enchanted thousands with the music of bygone years and brought a ray of sunshine to the lives of seniors in their twilight years. 

In his early years he sang and played guitar in bands that entertained the party-going throngs of Nebraska. Roger was a consummate entertainer, vocalist and musician. In the early days of his career I sold newspaper ads for the Bellevue Leader with Roger, and we became the best of friends. 

In the later years, when Roger was confined to a wheelchair, I booked gigs for him and drove him to nursing home performances and assembled his one-man-band equipment. I sat and listened to countless hours of golden music from the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s. Roger could play it all. And the nursing home crowds would sing along, cheer and applaud. Roger would transport us all to another era and stimulate our distant memories with his nostalgic music.

I will miss Roger. And I'll miss the hours we spent together driving to and from performances, singing songs together in his van and solving the world's problems over lunches and dinners. Roger was my dear friend, and I am not likely to find another like him. 

Roger now sings and plays in heaven. And when the thunder roars from the Throne, it is surely the applause and joy from the angels above! ...Play on, Roger! ... I will always remember you, my friend.
