He is survived by his sisters, Tavi Baker, (her husband Rich), Julie Monaco and nieces, Molly Chamberlain, Nina Toelle, nephews Dusty Baker, Al Monaco IV and Nick Monaco, bonus niece Kayla.
He was blessed with many friends and extended family as well as his yellow lab, Kona.
Roger was a Steamfitter with Local 464 for 35 years. He was approaching the 20th anniversary of his retirement this Halloween.
He was passionate about Recycling and Reusing and was for many, many years. He always tried to buy “Made in the USA”. He was steadfast in his beliefs.
Roger loved hunting doves, pheasants, and deer. He spent a lot of years in his tree stand at his river property near Rogers, Nebraska. He would stay out there as soon as the weather allowed until November every year.
He was incredibly proud of the legacy he created taking care of his Great Grandfather’s homestead property which was in the family for almost 140 years.
He will be missed. He had a lasting impact on many.
