Marcia is preceded in death by her parents, William and Myrtle Heaton; and siblings, Warren Heaton, Jimmy Heaton, Shirley Hildbrand, Mary Kind, Vivian Lowry, Margie Lunderville, Al Heaton, Leah Jones, Bill Heaton, Ronnie Heaton, Myrna Johnson, June Paskach, and Mike Heaton.
Marcia came from a big family, being the 13th of 15 children of Ray and Myrtle Heaton. She was beloved by her siblings and dozens of nieces, nephews and cousins. She graduated from Omaha South High School in 1960.
Shortly after high school, Marcia married and started a family, ultimately raising 6 children primarily alone with the help of family and friends. The youngest child, Tisha June, was born with multiple disabilities and required constant care, which Marcia lovingly provided. They loved to listen to country music together. Marcia became a strong advocate for Tisha and others with disabilities. She took life head-on, with a feisty spirit and love in her heart. Being surrounded by family and friends was something Marcia truly enjoyed. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In her declining years, Marcia was taken from us by Alzheimer's, which resulted in her needing increasing levels of care from family, volunteers and professionals. We thank them all for the loving care and support during those trying times.
