Elaine Smith, of Middleburg, FL but long time resident of Omaha, NE passed away just 6 months after her beloved husband, Homer. She was the last of 3 children from Clarence and Eunice Kellar of Council Bluffs, IA. Elaine graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1959. She initially was a stay-at-home mom, then got her real estate license and finished out her career at Omaha Steaks Int’l, retiring in 2000 after 25 years. She and Homer were blessed to have traveled to over 120 countries and take over 80 cruises. Elaine was a God serving lady who attended Calvary Assembly of God Church in Middleburg, FL until her illnesses prevented attendance. She was a very accomplished seamstress and enjoyed doing cross stitch.
Survivors include her daughter Roberta (Jeff) Moore, Homer’s sons Kevin, Philip (Mari) and Troy, grandchildren Jennifer (Carlos) Beltran, Rachel (Noah) Summerland, Charissa Smith, Amanda (Josh) Austin, Christopher Austin, Ashley (Brandon) McNew, Sarah Hallgren, great-grandchildren Camryn, Brady, Breckon, Peyton, Kingston, Barrett, Ashtyn, Declan and Baylor and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, parents, siblings Betty McMains and Edward Kellar and granddaughter Haylee Rogers.
VISITATION: Friday, May 17, 2024 at 12:30 PM and FUNERAL SERVICE at 1:30 PM with immediate procession to the gravesite and then back to the funeral home for reception and food. Service will be live streamed for those unable to attend.
