Tim, JoDell, and the Rolfs Family-

I was saddened to hear of the loss, of both your mother and father this past year.
 
I DO remember meeting your folks at your wedding in Windsor. Your mom had such a beautiful voice and your dad was a tall quiet man. What a wonderful couple!

We were so sad to learn of the passing of uncle Delmar. He exuded a quiet strength and kindness to all who knew him, and the funeral service was a wonderful tribute to him.  Jeff has so many found memories of spending time with him and the Rolfs family as a child.  He is with his beloved Marcia again and for that we can be grateful. We hope your found memories and strong faith will comfort you during this difficult time.  Love and prayers, Sharon and Jeff

It is with sorrow that the Korean Veterans Association notes the passage of one of our members.  It is with gratitude for his service and sympathy for his family members and friends, that the KWVA sends this remembrence.

My sincerest condolences to you and your family for the loss of your Father Del. 

This is so very hard for me to write.  Del and I were the very best of friends.  We met in the summer of 1948 and were friends until his passing.  We did so many things together in our High School years and continued until I made a move to Colorado in 1953.  We remained friends until this very day.  I too was on Elkhorn's first football and track teams and believe me Del was one of the best players on those teams.  He was a very soft spoken and sincere in every way.  I had such admiration for Del , so much so that I named my youngest son in his honor. 

Today I have such an empty feeling.    Rest in peace my dear friend.

To Cindy, Tim, Jim, Candy and families,
I’m so deeply sorry for the passing of your beloved father. He has been loved by my family and I since the time Dick and I met him when he and your mom first met.  He was wonderful - a loving husband , father, grandfather , and great grandfather. We remember him as a quiet man - kind, thoughtful , caring, and hardworking. Although he has gone to Heaven to join the love of his life, our love for him remains. May the loving memories of your father sustain and comfort you at this difficult time.

I will remember my Uncle Del as a man with a great smile, a quick chuckle,  and a huge heart . Such a strong and genuine presence for family. Always present to support whomever was in the room. A wise man. He didn’t even need to say anything - it was just known he was a caring and giving individual. When he and Aunt Marcie  visited my parents in California, I enjoyed our conversations. Favorite memories include the way he adored my kids when they were little toddlers; driving him in my convertible; talking with him about his much adored family. His family was everything to him. I also noticed his devoted love for his wife, my aunt Marcie. I watched him grieve as he stood before her in January. Uncle Del is now with Aunt Marcie where they can walk without pain and rejoice together. Our Jenkins family sends our deepest condolences to my cousins at this difficult time. Farewell my dear Uncle Del.

Delmar was a caring  person.  He was a man of few words but got his point across.  Del was a great listener and sometimes gave his opinion or not.  His faith meant such a great deal to him.  Your Mom and Dad and Lowell and I had some great trips together.  We had fun travelling to California for nephew John Bevelheimer's wedding and a few trips to Colorado to  see Patty and Bill's family  as well as Missy and family.   Del was a giver not a taker.  He would do anything possible to help when needed.  We will miss him so very much.

My brothers and I always thought Uncle Del was such a good man. Quiet voiced and yet funny.  Loved that he and Marcie drove a long ways to Michigan to attend my mother's funeral in 2014.  A really good guy. My brothers and I extend our condolences to Cindy, Jim, Candy, and Tim and their families. Your Mom and Dad were such good people. We will miss them. May your memories of them be a blessing in the years to come.

My sympathies to the whole family. Uncle Del had such a kind spirit. We’ll miss him very much.
