She passed away on April 1, 2020 here in Omaha.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Mahnke, her son, Jonhathan Mahnke, both from Omaha, her father, Apolonio “Curly” Baca, her brother, David Alexander Baca, her sister, Michelle Marie Button, all from Humble Texas. and her sisters in law, Linda Dymek, Sally Fangman, Cindy Mahnke, Eleanor Basinger, and brothers in law, Chuck Mahnke and John Mahnke, and several nieces and nephews.
Debi moved to Omaha in 1962 when her dad came to work for Northern Natural Gas Co. She resided here the rest of her life. She graduated from Archbishop Ryan High School. She worked 26 years as a computer analyst at First Data Resources, where she was active as a volunteer recruiting membership at the Henry Doorly Zoo. Debi and Larry would attend the Mahnke family reunion in Sioux City, IA. each year to stay abreast of family news and activities.
She loved to watch college football on TV, especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
She was preceded in death by her mother in law, Betty Mahnke, her brothers in law, Donny Mahnke and Sherman Button and her mother, Felipa Baca. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.crosby-burket.com.
