Bonnie Lou Jensen

She married Donald W. Jensen on November 12, 1954. After a number of years, losing a few little angels along the way, they finally had their son Greg in 1962. If anybody knew Bonnie and Don Jensen, they were very hard working and caring people. Bonnie was instrumental in helping her sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Bill Moeller, with mail and banking as they embarked on their journeys living in their sail boat and then the RV to write their wonderful books. Bonnie was a very caring mother to Greg and her grandchildren, Eric & Christina.

Bonnie was quite a cook and baker. Her specialty was her mother-in-law Del's Danish Spritzer cookies. Bonnie had quite a cute and feisty way about her with a grand voice. Any of the neighborhood kids always knew when she wanted Greg to come home. If Greg didn't hear his mom calling him home, the other kids heard! She was a super grandmother to her grandkids Eric and Christina, going to all their Christ the King Soccer, Basketball, and Baseball games. She never missed one! And playing squishy ball in the living room and a super baby sitter to them as well.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; parents, Alma & Kenneth Heagle; sister, Janet Moeller (Bill Moeller); Uncle John and Aunt Marie Heagle; and her little angels.

She is survived by her son; Greg (Denise); and grandchildren Eric and Christina.

A memorial service for Bonnie will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. Following the memorial service will be a private inurnment at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, 5701 Center Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68106.
