Sarah Harville Magee, 93, of Olive Branch, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Magee was born June 29, 1924 in Cherry Valley, AR to the late Frank Ball and Ida (Davidson) Ball. She was married to Howard Harville in March 1945 and to this union was born five children. She lived a long and full life in which the most important things were loving and serving Jesus and taking care of her family. She was a loving and totally devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Mrs. Sarah had outlived many of her precious loved ones, however, God blessed so many surviving children, grandchildren, family, and friends by leaving her to serve on Earth for 93 years. She loved, cared for, and influenced several generations and her love will continue to live on. Mrs. Magee was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Harville, her daughter, Linda Holliday, five brothers, Marvin Turnbow, Johnny Ball, Reg Ball, Lloyd “Bud” Ball, and Charlie Ball, two sisters, Laura Johnson and Winnie Sullins, as well as her parents. She is survived by her husband, Carroll Vernon “Pop” Magee, four children, Howard Harville, Jr. (Vicki), Roger Harville (Ruth), Kim Harville (Susan), and Martha Scruggs (Jim), 12 grandchildren, Clay Holliday Chris Harville, Stephanie Holliday, Michelle Harville, Chad Harville, April Harville Higarede, Kyle Scruggs, Brittany Scruggs, Mitzie Magee Pepper, Cathy Magee Castleberry, Melissa Purser-Howard, and Lorie Purser-Whitfield, and a host of great and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 4-6pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch and the Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 2pm, also at Brantley Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Byhalia Cemetery.
