Sally Ann Hulsey, 74, of Olive Branch, Mississippi, died at home on Thursday morning, March 29, 2012. She was surrounded by her family whom had been by her bedside for the past two weeks as she succumbed to a brain cancer which she was diagnosed with last fall.
Her family will receive guests and friends on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 6PM – 8PM and funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 31 beginning at 10AM all at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Bro. John Childress will be the officiant.
Sally was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 26, 1937, the daughter of Hershel & Mildred Beebe. She was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1955. She continued her education at State Tech where she received an associate degree in business. She met a nice young man whom had just returned home from the Army, Wood E. Hulsey, while both working in the inspection department at Sears. Wood’s boss kept telling him that nice little, freckled face girl really was keeping her eyes on him, and he had eyes for her too. The two went to Hernando, Mississippi 6 months later and were married.
Mrs. Hulsey is survived by her husband of 55 years Wood E. Hulsey, daughters Sandra (Charlie) Fast, and Susan (David) Shemwell , son Michael Hulsey, grandchildren David Jr. (Amanda) Shemwell, Megan Fast, Daniel Shemwell, Joshua Shemwell, Katie Fast, James Nathan Shemwell, and Cody Scott; great-grandchildren Kalleigh & Will Shemwell; brother Raymond (Margaret) Beebe; five nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces & great-nephews; three cousins Jimmy, Robert & Johnny Bartholomew. We all love you, we all miss you, and we all will see you in heaven.
