Olive Branch - RUBY B. NEWMAN. Ruby retired from the Memphis City School System. She graduated from East Central Junior College, Decatur, MS and Southern Mississippi at Hattiesburg, MS. She was a longtime member of Leawood Baptist Church, Memphis, TN. She was a Sunday school teacher and worked in Vacation Bible School. She is survived by a brother, Leroy Barnett and his wife Mary Frances; a niece, Susan; and three nephews, Raymond, Richard and Daris Barnett. Visitation will be Monday, January 28 from 5-8 p.m. and service Tuesday at 1 p.m. all at Brantley Funeral Home. Interment will be in Autumn Woods Cemetery, Olive Branch.
