Linda Gail Perry, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 surrounded by her family at Methodist Olive Branch. She was born on April 20, 1949 in Memphis to Archie and Lorraine Goodwin.
Linda was a lively, spirited woman who always lit up a room with her presence. She had a deep love for dancing, especially when it was to the tunes of her favorite, Elvis Presley. Music was in her soul, and as a proud member of The Memphis Bop Club, she found joy in dancing and spending time with friends who shared her passion.
She had a true green thumb and a love for flowers that made her garden flourish year after year. There wasn't a plant she couldn’t grow, and her garden was a testament to her hard work and care. When she wasn’t in the garden, Linda could often be found in the kitchen, whipping up something delicious. She loved baking and cooking, always ready to share a homemade meal or treat with those she cared about.
In her downtime, Linda enjoyed watching crime shows—her guilty pleasure whenever she had a few moments to herself. Her lively spirit, kind heart, and love for the simple joys of life will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Linda was preceded in death by her stillborn son; her father, Archie Ray Goodwin, Sr., and her brother, Keith Randall Goodwin
She leaves behind her two daughters, Kimberly Perry and Blair Perry; her grandson, Jaxson Goodwin Perry; her mother, Lorraine Daughtry Goodwin; her brother, Archie Ray Goodwin, Jr. (Rhonda). Linda also leaves behind her niece and nephew, four great nephews, a great niece, and a host of close cousins.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, Ms 38654. A graveside service will follow at Blocker Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
