Janis Hardin King McWilliams

Janis Hardin King McWilliams, 72, of Byhalia, MS, passed away Sunday August 12, 2018 at Methodist Olive Branch Hospital. Janis was a member of Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church and loved the Lord with all her heart. She loved fishing and camping and even enjoyed playing croquet. She also liked to paint and work on her home and enjoyed making jewelry in her spare time. Janis was preceded in death by her sister, Shirline Vernardsdale and two brothers, Jimmy DeGrant and Gary Little. She is survived by her husband, William McWilliams, four children, Lisa Cheatam, Angela Campbell, James Clayton Sowell, and Maria Owens, one brother, Tommy Catchings, thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday August 15, 2018 from 5-7pm and the funeral service will be held Thursday August 16, 2018 at 1pm, all at Brantley Funeral Home of Olive Branch. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery.
