Dorothy E. (Dot) Smith, 87, of Olive Branch, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2010. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Olive Branch, retired from Sears, Crosstown, longtime Memphis resident before moving to Olive Branch in the early 1980's, charter member of Mt. Terrace Baptist Church in north Memphis. She was also a resident of Olive Grove Terrace in Olive Branch and was an avid Ole Miss fan having attended numerous football and basketball games through the years. Mrs. Smith, the widow of Thomas H. Smith, USN, Ret. leaves a daughter, Carol (Mark) Moore of Brandon, MS; two sons, Tom (Patsy) Smith and Steve (Sherri) Smith, all of Olive Branch; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and her twin brother. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., this morning, Saturday, December 18 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Interment will follow in Sidon Cemetery in Sidon, MS.
