Dorothy K. Richmond, 90, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 4, 2022. Mrs. Richmond was born on February 26, 1932 in Whitinsville, MA to Henry and Lucy Koerten. She is a graduate of Worcester Hahneman Hospital School of Nursing. She had a long nursing career which included 15 years as an RN at Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola, MS. She and her husband lived in Indianola for 40 years. They retired in 1994 and moved to the foothills of the Ozarks in Tumbling Shoals, AR where they lived until she moved to the Memphis area in 2015 to be closer to her family. In her free time she enjoyed reading and being active in her church. Mrs. Richmond was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of the Methodist Church. Her faith was the most important part of her life. One of her greatest joys in life was being “Grandot” to her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John Robert Richmond; and her sister, Jenney Koerten Saunders. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Lynn Richmond King; son, Warren Craig Richmond; son, Wayne Douglas Richmond (Sharon); grandchildren: Justin Wayne Richmond (Brooke), Jenna Nicole Richmond McClain (Justin), Andrew Logan Richmond, Malcolm Grant Richmond, and Seth Richmond; great-granddaughter, Olivia Joy McLain; and brother, Bernard Henry Koerten. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1-2 pm at Brantley Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens in Heber Springs, AR.
