Clinton A. Nichols, 77, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017. He was born on November 23, 1939 to Willie Lee Nichols and Katherine Wilson Nichols in Olive Branch, MS. He graduated from Olive Branch High School and Memphis State University. He served in the United States Air Force and began a career as an Air Traffic Controller with the Federal Aviation Administration, retiring in 2003 after 38 years of service. After retiring, he was appointed to the Board of Supervisors of the Desoto County Convention and Visitors Bureau for 11 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Olive Branch, MS. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Merry Nichols, and daughter, Nikki Kilbane, a daughter-in-law, Mendy Nichols, and his beloved grandchildren, Kate and Cameron. He is also survived by three sisters, Juanita Looney, Louise Marr, and Melba Doddridge. He is predeceased by his son, Nathan Nichols and a brother, Erlend Nichols. There will be a graveside service at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Blocker Cemetery in Olive Branch, MS. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Olive Branch or St. Jude Children's Hospital
