Cheryl Elder Jamison went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2018 after a long bout with breast cancer. She leaves behind her husband of 51 years, Tommy Jamison, her niece Carla Osborne, and her nephew D.C. (Bubba) Harris. Cheryl was a homemaker, cosmetologist, and school teacher. She loved her ministry to those in her church family, especially the elderly ladies. Cheryl taught for 25 years in the Desoto County School system, teaching 5th and 6th grade math. She was one of the best in the state of Mississippi being recognized with her principal in Washington D.C. as being instrumental in achieving Blue Ribbon School Status. Cheryl will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and church family who loved her so very much. Visitation will be held on Saturday November 17, 2018 from 9am until the funeral service begins at 10am, all at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Independence, MS where she was a member for 50 years. Interment will follow in Cockrum United Methodist Church Cemetery. Brantley Funeral Home of Olive Branch is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
