Peter J. “Pete” Goodin, 55, passed away unexpectedly, June 24, 2017, doing what he loved most- riding his Harley. He was born, allegedly, April 17, 1962, though there was some discrepancy where the date was concerned, the son of Frank Francis Goodin and Constance Mary Olson.
There was never a dull moment where Pete was concerned. He was an outdoor enthusiast who loved photography, though his main loves were Hooters, Harleys and inappropriate t-shirts. Pete would walk a hundred miles just to give a man the shoes on his feet. He was known for doing any kind of favor- great or small. He loved his family and friends the most, and would willingly do anything for them.
Pete was a proud 20 year retiree of the US Army, and a member of the Saracen Motorcycle Club.
Pete is survived by his wife, Denise; daughter, Cortney Goodin; son, PJ Goodin; stepdaughters, Melanie Cox and Amanda White and her husband, Josh and their daughter, Nataley; sisters, Wendy Cornell, Monique Hanson and husband, Joe, Angela Connolly and husband, Chris, and Kay Woodard and husband, Loren; niece, Lynette Frasier; nephews, Mike Boyington, Jacob Magaw, and Anthony Sapiel; and two much-loved cats who are totally lost without him, Molly and Frankie. He will be dearly missed by his special friends, Patrick Almenas, Paul Heath, Chip and Marlene Grover, Scott Ouellette, and Crusty.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Heike Goodin; nephews, Frank Roy, Ben Magaw; and his feline best friend, Fruit Loop.
A memorial service will be held at 10am, Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St. Old Town. Interment will follow at Brownville Village Cemetery.
