Brandy Botting

Brandy grew up in Alton, Maine and spent her youth playing in the woods at her home. She worked in her grandparents' greenhouses growing up, and enjoyed spending time during the summers at the family camp at Nicatous Lake. She graduated from Old Town High School and then moved to Portland to pursue a career she truly loved, cooking, following the steps of her father. She worked at several restaurants in Portland and settled in working at the Hyatt Hotel, a job she truly enjoyed.

Brandy had a heart of gold, was generous, and would do anything for anyone in need. She loved animals, especially penguins.

She was predeceased by her father, Darrell Botting; her grandmother, Glenna Hejduk (Botting); her grandparents, Cliff and Marie Shaffer; her step grandfather, Leonard Swazey, and her beloved kitty, Izzy.

She is survived by her heartbroken mother, Cheryl Botting; her brother, Joshua; her grandfather, Victor Botting; several aunts and uncles, several cousins, and many friends. She will be missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to donate to Heart of Maine or to do something nice for someone in need.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, at 12:00 PM, at the Alton Methodist Church in Alton, ME.
