Sharon was born March 19, 1941 in Milford, Connecticut and is survived by her brother Craig Sattler.
Sharon graduated high school in Milford, Connecticut, where she met the love of her life, Peter B. Purdue. They were married November 21, 1959 and celebrated 48 years of marriage. Sharon is survived by three children; Tracy Connolly, Kenneth Purdue (wife Tracy), and Michelle Konishesky (husband Jack) and five grandchildren; Katherine, Joseph, Nathan, Allison and Caitlyn.
Sharon is remembered best for the beautiful love she shared with her husband. Sharon and Peter were inseparable since they met in high school and corresponded through love letters when apart - treasured by Sharon for her entire life. In their later years, they shared a love of gardening, birdwatching, and spending time enjoying nature. Sharon was also a lifelong lover of animals of all kinds, from wild birds to many rescued rabbits, cats, and dogs.
Sharon’s memory will be held forever by her children and grandchildren, to whom she passed along a love and appreciation for nature, humor, and family.
