After attending the University of Bridgeport, Ray served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed a successful career with the Connecticut Department of Transportation retiring as a Rights of Way Division Chief.
Upon his retirement from DOT, he worked as a Contract Specialist for the USDA on Plum Island and FEMA.
Above all, Ray was most proud of his family. He leaves his children, Jason Klancko and Andrea (Klancko) and Jonathan Travisano. He will be missed by his five blessings, Jonah, Eli and Maia, Klancko and Emily and Tessa Travisano.
He also leaves Ginger (Garavalia) Metallides and Ed Garavalia and their wonderful families.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, December 7th from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd. Old Saybrook, CT. Burial will be private.
