Elizabeth was born April 9 1928 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Sara and James McArthur.
Elizabeth was a longtime resident of Old Saybrook. She married Sydney and they made their home on Ruth Drive. In addition to raising their children, she maintained a career as an executive secretary, and later, designer.
She is survived by and will be dearly missed by daughter Nancy Burdick and her husband Ron, and her granddaughters Kendra Shuck and Kristen Esteves.
Elizabeth was also predeceased by her husband Sydney, daughter Kathryn, and son Richard.
Her family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff of Groton Regency for their wonderful care and kindness.
Visitation and Memorial services will be held Monday, February 1, 2016 from 4:00 -5:30 at Swan Funeral Home in Old Saybrook.
