Helen (Kolodziej) Rozanski, "Nanny" passed away peacefully on Mother's Day at the age of 108. She was born in New Britain, CT in 1909 where she raised her children. In her later years, she moved to Old Lyme to be closer to her children and their families. She worked as a cook at the Center School and spent a good part of her life caring for her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Rozanski Sr, her daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth (Rozanski) Yuknat and Alan Yuknat, her daughter-in-law Patricia (Burlingham) Rozanski and 10 siblings. She is survived by her son Thomas Rozanski Jr, two sisters; Dorothy and Mary, 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and many others.
Calling hours will be held on Sat May 19th from 10:30am-12:30pm at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 13 Beckwith Lane, Old Lyme. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1pm in Christ the King Church, Lyme St., Old Lyme. Burial will follow at Duck River Cemetery.
