Mrs. Boles grew up in Nashville and graduated from East High School in 1947. She was voted “The Wittiest” by her senior class. She was a full-time homemaker for many years. One of her fondest memories was driving her 1923 Model-T FORD to school. Her parents gave her permission to allow fellow students to sign their names on her vehicle with paint.
Once her children began attending school, she began working outside the home, as well. She worked for the University of Tennessee for many years. Following, she began working as a secretary for the Metropolitan Nashville School System, spending most of her time at McGavock High School. One of her proudest moments was receiving the “Secretary of the Year Award” in 1996. She loved her students and they returned the love to her.
Mrs. Boles enjoyed staying active with bowling, playing Bridge, working crossword puzzles, talking with friends, and University of Tennessee football and basketball. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. She loved well – was well-loved – and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Boles is preceded in death by her father, Jesse Boyd Morrow; her mother, Ella Mae (Donnelly) Morrow; and her brother, Walter Boyd Morrow. She is survived by son, Gary Spencer Boles; daughter, Tracey Boles Trumphour (Tony); grandchildren Mandy Redd Fuller (Nick), Tori Trumphour Newman, Taylor Anthony Trumphour (Brittany); great grandchildren Paisley Elaine Newman, Natalie Jean Fuller, Whit Anthony Trumphour, and Perry Quinn Trumphour.
