Shirley Dean Driver, age 85, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024. She was a member of Mount Juliet Church of Christ and retired from Purity Dairies after thirty years of service.
Shirley was born at home on the family farm in Macon County, Tennessee, a place that shaped her strong and loving spirit. She brought joy and laughter to everyone around her with a one-of-a-kind personality that made her truly unforgettable. Shirley deeply loved her family and her grandchildren were the light of her life, her pride and joy. She was a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Shirley's precious caregivers. Your kindness and compassion meant the world to her and to us. Please know that we are forever grateful for the care you provided.
Shirley is preceded in death by her loving husband fifty-eight years, Billy Driver; her brother, Bobby Doss; and her sister, Glenna Hudson. She is survived by daughters, Tammy Yates and Rene Mungovan (Randy); grandchildren Wil Mungovan (Ilze) and Chaz Mungovan (Stacey); great grandchildren Lukas and Margot Mungovan; and sisters, Sue Gregory and Brenda Waller (Ronnie).
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends on Tuesday, December 17, from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the Hermitage Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Tulip Grove Chapel at the funeral home with Brother Wayne Miller officiating. Wil Mungovan, Chaz Mungovan, Randy Mungovan,
Rocky Hudson, Bob Doss, and Andy McClain will serve as pallbearers. Following the service, Shirley will be laid to rest in the Garden of Peace at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
