Robert D. McAllister

He was born Feb. 19, 1932 in Chapin Twp., Morgan County, Illinois, a son of the late Robert McAllister and Faye Lear McAllister. One brother, Keith N. McAllister, preceded him in death on December 25th, 1984.

He was married to Bonnie Mae Johnson December 3rd, 1951 at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion, Nebraska. His beautiful bride preceded him in death on June 27th, 2014.

Robert was a member of Central Christian Church in Murfreesboro. A graduate of Chapin High School, he then served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He served and was Honorably Discharged from both the United States Air Force and the Air Force Reserves. Robert was employed until he retired with the Federal Aviation Administration as an electronic specialist at the BNA Nashville, Tn. Airport.

Robert was an avid Amateur Radio Operator and loved building and flying Model airplanes.

He will be sorely missed by daughters, Vicki Bunting and husband Sam, Colleen Lombardo and husband Tim, grandchildren James Bunting and wife Michelle, Tammy Bunting and Lauren Darnell, great grandchildren, Jamie Bunting, Brooke Bunting, Jacob Howell and Zaylee Hollis.
