She was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee and the daughter of Edward Lee Hunley, SR and Annie Lee (Payne) Hunley. Pat was married at the young age of 16 to Robert (Ken) Burton for 68 years. They raised 6 children and have 18 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.
Our Mom was the heart of our family. Even though she was not able to leave her home in her later years, her daughters talked to her everyday. She knew everything going on with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and kept us all connected. She kept up with news by watching it on television and reading the newspaper and kept us all up to date. We could call her and find out about anything.
Pat was a cashier at Donelson Kroger for 25 years. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid football and golf fan. She was a longtime member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Donelson.
Preceded in death by daughter, Lisa Waynick; granddaughter, Chelsea Waynick; parents, Edward Lee and Annie Lee Hunley; brothers, Sonny, Bobby, and Eddie Hunley; sisters, Norma Nichols and Myrtle Lou Waller.
She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved husband of 68 years, Robert (Ken) Burton; daughters, Pam (Tony) Jeanette, Debbie Burton, Nita (Page) Gracy, Nancy (Brian) Sherrill; son, Kenny Burton; son in law, John Waynick; 17 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry and David Hunley and a host of other family and friends.
