Martha Nadine Powell

Martha Nadine Powell, age 88, passed away December 14, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus Charles and Viola Thornton Chandler; husband of 17 years, Horace Powell; daughter, M. Kay Douglas; son-in-law, Tommy Warf and eight siblings.

She is survived by her son, Johnny Butler; daughters, Joan Warf, Nancy D. Huggins (Jack), Penny Cummings (Barry), and son-in-law, Kevin Douglas; grandchildren, Sabrina Baskin, Scott Warf, Wendy Smoot, David Edge III, Christy Wilson, Natalie Walton and Kaela Cummings; 10 great-grandchildren.

Nadine was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN with Deacon Bo Ford and Chaplain Andy Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Serving as Active Pallbearers will be Scott Warf, David Edge III, David Baskin, C.J. Smoot, Rob Wilson and Donald Walton. Serving as Honorary Pallbearer will be Larry Bain.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm Monday, December 17, 2018 and from 10:00 am – 11:00 am on Tuesday at the funeral home.
