Donald O. (Scott) Turner, Jr., 53, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, passed away on December 24, 2021. Scott was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 10, 1968 to parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald O. Turner, Sr.
Scott graduated Dupont High School in Old Hickory, Tennessee in 1986. He met the love of his life, Leah Heald, at a video store in Hermitage, Tennessee in 1989. The two were married in August 1991.
Scott was a Key Account Manager with Lipman Brothers, LLC and was a big fan of UT football. He enjoyed being outdoors, was an avid bass fisherman and an excellent baseball coach with the youngest of little leaguers through those in high school. Scott taught Sunday School to the youth boys of Victory Baptist Church…he loved them and they loved him. He was great at telling jokes and enjoyed laughing. He was caring to anyone in need and had a fierce love for his family and friends. He will be sorely missed.
Scott is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Art and Jean Baskin, paternal grandparents Joe and Estelle Turner; and a brother Danny Turner.
Scott is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Leah Heald Turner; his son Caleb Turner; his daughter Makenzie Turner; his parents Don and JoAnne Turner, sisters Lisa Fernandez (Hector), Laurie Holland (Charles); brother John Turner (Jen); his loving in-laws Bill and Bettye Heald; many nieces and nephews; and canine companions, Luna and Rocky.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends at Victory Baptist Church, 1777 Tate Lane, Mount Juliet, Tennessee, on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 4pm until 8pm and on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 11am until 12pm.
