Chelsea Marie Faith Jennings

was born on August 2, 1990 in Louisville, KY to parents, Gary and Connie Jennings.

Chelsea loved life and lived it to its fullest. She was an adventurer and enjoyed traveling

across the country and abroad. Being the strong person she was, she even traveled

alone on her most recent trip to Europe. Chelsea was very creative and a gifted writer since her teens.

She graduated from the Ramp School of Ministry and took multiple courses towards her

calling. Chelsea was very compassionate and non-judgmental. She was always the “mother” of

the group and took charge in many situations. One friend states that it was always great

to witness her sticking up for the underdog. Another said, “She was warm, funny,

smart, strong, kind, fierce, beautiful and brave”. Her parents, and those who knew her,

would agree.

She had been state certified as an advocate for those caught in sex-trafficking and other

sexual crimes.

Most recently professionally Chelsea was working as a medical assistant for a Nashville

neurosurgeon and absolutely loved her coworkers and going to work every day.

Chelsea was always smiling and simply lit up a room when she entered. She loved her

family and was relentlessly supportive of her friends. One friend said that Chelsea

“loved hard”. She definitely loved well. . . was well-loved . . . and will be greatly missed.

Chelsea is predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Leslie W. Sr. and Ileana Jennings;

and her maternal grandparents, Bill and Nina Strange. She is survived by her parents Gary and Connie Jennings; her brother, Howard Jennings (Jan); a niece, June Jennings; and a nephew, Garrett Jennings.

There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends at Hermitage Funeral Home on Thursday,

August 17, 4pm – 8pm, and Friday, August 18 12pm – 1pm, with a Celebration of Life following at 1pm in the Tulip Grove Room at the funeral home. Following the service, Chelsea will be laid to rest in the Garden of Andrew at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
