Vibrant, Loving, Caring, wonderful, full of life, a good friend, these are just a few words on how some of you described our beautiful mom, grandma and everyone’s friend Vicky. We come here today to celebrate her wonderful life. 

Please allow me for a moment to speak of my own personal experience. Looking back, I should have known from the beginning that Vicky would be an important part of my life. You see in August of 1985 I lost my mother but fortunately for me I was soon to marry a wonderful woman that had a very caring loving mother. It didn’t take long for Vicky to do what she did best. No words where ever said, her intentions were never to try and replace my mother but only to be there for me like a mother. Vicky knew my mother for only a short time but you would never know it by the way she cared for me and my family through a very difficult time. 

Oh yea, and like any caring mother her opinions came with it. 
If Vicky gave you her opinion that meant you were one of her very loved family or friends.

All my neighbors and Janis and Vinny's neighbors knew her, whenever she would be walking Nikko or taking her cigarette break you were sure to get a friendly “Hi, how are you?”  

Mom was a strong independent woman, something she always communicated to her grandchildren, especially Nicole and Jenna. Fittingly, I found 3 copies of this inspirational message in Mom’s house. 
I would like to read just part of it to you. I think I know who these words were intended for.

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit!
 
Janis, Donna you were blessed to have a wonderful loving caring mother. Vinnie, we were fortunate to have a mother in law that truly cared for us like her own children. Nicole, Jenna and Robert, the love grandma gave you will never be forgotten and you will have her love with you for the rest of your life and beyond. Nikko, Hercules and Ginger who is now in puppy heaven, you were spoiled with grandmas love.
And to all of Vicky’s family and friends you all know how fortunate you were to have her in your life.
Mom we will miss your love, your care, your friendly hello, your meatballs and eggplant too but most of all we will miss you.

Vicki was an amazing person.  I have known her pretty much all my life.  Even though I was only a friend of Jenna's, she treated me like I was her own!  I will never forget the Sunday night dinners and her always tugging on my hair!  She was very much loved by everyone she came across and will be missed greatly!

i only knew vicki for a short time, but i felt like i knew her forever.  i will miss her very much, you don;t get to meet people that you could love so quickly. she was special

Vicky was the best!  I've only known Vicky for the last 3 1/2 years working with her every Saturday. We had a great time. She loved her family and friends and she really loved to eat. I couldn't start my diet because she was always bringing me something to eat! What a great cook!  We miss her and the customers are missing her too. Earth is where we weep for death's pain, barely able to stand with our hearts breaking b/c we miss our loved one. In heaven, we'll experience that moment when the doors are thrown open and we'll run, whole and healthy, screaming/laughing with joy, straight for each other's arms!

May God surround you with the peace of His presence and confidence that your mom is resting (at this very moment!) in the arms of her Savior, gazing into His eyes. 

It was a privilege to know her and hear her bursting with joy when she told us about her personal relationship with her Lord Jesus and her prayers for her family to experience her joy. No more cleaning-up for Vicky, but resting competely in the arms of her Savior for all eternity!

You are all in our thoughts and prayers as you warmly reflect on all your many wonderful memories of her.

You are the Mom God gave to me when I married your son. You welcomed me with love and open arms.  You allways said I was an angel sent to your Son and Grandsons.  Now you are our guardian angel looking over us.  Mom you will be greatly missed.  Your gracious way and beautiful smile will allways be  precious memories. Your words of wisdom will allways be treasured.  You will allways have a special place in my heart.  I love you Mom.

My Grandma vicky was the best grandma/ bestfriend in the world. I could talk to her about everything. I will miss talking to you every day off grams. My Grams was an amazing, cool, beautiful, wonderful, caring , sweet ,elegant lady. She was very loving always put others before herself.Sunday was the last time i spoke to her and the last words i said was grams i love you.My grandma loved angels now she is our beautiful angel looking down on us! Im lucky to have a grandma as precious as you. We have many happy memories. Grams you will never be forgotten you will always be in my heart and mind forever! I going to miss you so much and cannot believe this is real. The holidays will never be the same without you cleaning up the kitchen and running around telling everyone else to sit and relax. This is a very sad time, yet many memories of my relationship with Vicky come to mind, many things that I have not thought of for many years.  All these memories are so positive which is a testament to the kind of life that Vicky lived, for her obvious concern for other people.  

I remember the first time that I met Vicky.  Her daughter (Janis) and here Son in Law to be were 17 years old.  This was part of an introduction to a family that was to become an extension of my family, a relationship that would transcend more than  thirty years.  In these thirty plus years there are hundreds if not thousands of memories that I cherish, that will always be with me.   

I drove a car inherited from Vicky for some 20 years, it being a constant reminder of Vicky’s charity and concern.  I was always aware of Vicky’s happiness in the marriage of her two children, of her grand children, of her constant giving, of her constant selflessness to other people, to her always welcoming, especially to me.  


I will very much miss Victoria.

I met Vicky the day Donna and her family moved in down the block about 11 years ago.  I thought it was wonderful how Vicky was such a big part of Donna's family. In the 6 years I have lived in New Jersey Vicky became a very good friend to me.We would shop like little kids & she enjoyed helping me decorate my new home...Memories of her will be with me forever.  I will miss you dearly,  Betty

I will truly miss her. Whenever she was at my house( which was about 12 days ago) she would never sit down. Always cleaning up after everyone like my own grandmother use to do.
