Terri attended the Paris American High School in Paris, France when her father was stationed there in the U.S. Army. She graduated with honors from Mount Vernon High School in Alexandria, Virginia in 1969 and was a magna cum laude graduate from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida in 1973. Terri attended the University of Neuchatel in Switzerland for studies in French literature.
After graduation from Stetson, Terri became the editor of the monthly newsletter published by State Farm for their Eastern Region.
After raising two daughters she worked as an elementary school aide and library assistant in Oak Ridge, TN.
She taught parenting in the Helping Hands Pregnancy Resource Center in Oak Ridge. While living in Overland Park, KS she was a volunteer gardener at the Overland Park Arboretum.
Terri was a member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church, PCA in Overland Park, and served as treasurer of the Women in the Church organization.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edie and Robert F. Hatch and her brother Terry Hatch.
Terri is survived by her husband Russell Miller; daughters: Shelley Patterson and Erin Stark; brothers: Bob, Larry, and Steven Hatch. She has six grandchildren: Maya Scott, Norah Patterson, Evelyn Patterson, Ellijay (Eddy) Stark, Josiah Patterson and Penny Stark.
The family would like to thank the staff of Grace House at Goshen Home Care as well as Ascend Hospice for the excellent care and compassion they showed our loved one.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 3pm with Funeral Service at 4pm at Redeemer Presbyterian Church with Burial to follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
