Tanner Bradley McCullough, 7, of Gardner, KS passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 12, 2021. He will forever be remembered as a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend to everyone he knew.
Tanner was born on August 8, 2013, in Overland Park, KS, to Joshua Michael McCullough and Kaylee Grace (Van Ravenswaay) McCullough. He attended and completed the second grade through Gardner Elementary School. Some of his many favorite things were trains of all types (but more specifically Thomas the Tank Engine), Lego (he was a Master Builder), Marvel Superheroes (Vision and Iron Man were his favorites), and Baby Yoda. He was also fascinated with Sea Turtles. After his first visit to the Cincinnati Zoo, he became obsessed with turtles of all kinds, but loved Sea Turtles the most.
Tanner enjoyed snuggling and re-watching the entire Marvel series repeatedly. He loved camping and seeing all the cool things in nature. He enjoyed pulling off pranks and being ornery. Most of all, he loved his family dearly and loved to make them smile.
Tanner was preceded in death by his great grandfather John Van Ravenswaay. He is survived by his loving parents Joshua and Kaylee McCullough, his older sister Danielle McCullough, and his little brother Aaron McCullough. He will be sadly missed by paternal grandparents Mark and Carol McCullough as well as his maternal grandparents Ken and Cheryl Van Ravenswaay. He is also survived by his great grandparents James and Mary Henson, Eugene and Iva McCullough, Robert and Linda Byers and Sharon Van Ravenswaay, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tanner will be cremated according to his wishes, but a visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, June 16th, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Fellowship Bible Church located at 16900 S. Waverly Road in Gardner, KS 66030.
The family requests people wear their favorite superhero shirt to the visitation (or one with a turtle, train, or the color gold - his favorite color).
