Laura Garcia Morales, 21, of Olathe, Kansas passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. She will forever be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, cousin and friend to everyone she knew.
Laura was born on November 2, 2001 in Kansas City, Kansas to Claudia Morales Calderon. She attended and graduated from Olathe North High School. She was a member of Casa de Adoracion Church where she attended services regularly.
Laura worked as a server at Viva Tacos in Leawood, Kansas. She enjoyed spending time at the lake, watching sunsets and looking up at the moon. Laura enjoyed spending time with her family, and nothing gave her more pleasure in life than the time she spent with her nephews, Geovanni, Liam and Ebenezer.
Laura is survived by her mother, Claudia Morales Calderon and her two brother’s Pedro Fernandez and Samuel Hernandez both of the home and her brother Jose Fernandez and his wife Ruth of Spring Hill, Kansas. Her three nephews Geovanni Fernandez, Liam Fernandez and Ebenezer Fernandez will sadly miss her. Left behind to cherish her memory are her maternal grandparents Maria Calderon and Jose Morales, aunt, Laura Rivera and her husband, Jaime of Olathe, Kansas and her two uncles Felix Morales and Mauro Morales both of Mexico.
Funeral Service 12:00 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2023 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas, Visitation prior to the funeral service will be Monday morning from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens 13901 South Black Bob Olathe, Kansas. Visitation 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, February 19, 2023 at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to, “The Family” to offset funeral expenses.
