Ed Trudeau, 73 of Overland Park, KS born March 20, 1950, in Sioux City, IA to Hubert and Mary Trudeau, passed away April 9, 2023, at his home after a long illness. Raised on a farm near Salix, IA, Ed moved to Sioux City with his bride, Teresa in 1972. Together with their children, they moved to Olathe, KS in 1987. He retired to Overland Park in 2014 and began enjoying time with his grandkids. Ed was a devoted member of his local Roman Catholic Church throughout his life.
Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Teresa Trudeau; children: Nicholas, Natalie (Andrew) Kemp, and Mollie (Kenray) Barnabas; grandchildren: Annabelle, Elliot, Amelia, and Jasmine; sister: Lois (Mark-deceased) Swenson; brothers: Richard (deceased) and Donald, and several nieces and nephews.
A gathering will be held at McGilley & Frye Funeral home, 105 E Loula St., Olathe from 5-7 pm, Friday, April 21st with a rosary starting at 5 pm. A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish, 11300 W 103rd Street, Overland Park, at 9 am, Saturday, April 22nd, followed by breakfast in the Martha and Mary Room. Ed will be laid to rest at Queen of the Holy Rosary - Wea Cemetery in Bucyrus, KS.
