Charlene Lorraine Jackson, 69, of Springhill, Kansas passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 1, 2015. She will forever be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she met.
Charlene was born on October 29, 1946 in Wichita, Kansas to Ray Alton and Jeanette Lorraine (Miessler) Morrison. She worked as a bookkeeper and did accounting for several small businesses.
Charlene is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Jeanette Morrison. She is survived by her children: son, Alan Jackson and his wife Stacy of DeSoto, Kansas and daughter, Amy Knowlton and her husband Vince of Olathe, Kansas. Left behind to cherish her memory are her five grandchildren: Colton Jackson, Cayla Jackson, Zachery Knowlton, Ella Jackson and Cooper Jackson. She will be sadly missed by her sister, Candi Clinesmith and her husband Richard of Wichita, Kansas and the father of her children Jerry Jackson of Lenexa, Kansas.
Charlene will be cremated according to her wishes. A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 7th at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 E. Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Visitation 1-3 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date in Johnson County Memorial Gardens Overland Park, Kansas.
