Bonnie Carol (McGill) Poole, 73, of Prairie Village, Kansas passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, July 1, 2024. Bonnie will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she knew.
Bonnie was born on June 11, 1951 in Lexington, Missouri to Rayetta Faye (Griffin) McGill. She attended and graduated from Westport High School in Kansas City, Missouri. She worked as a Medical Assistant at the Plaza Medical Center. She also worked many years at Town Topic.
Bonnie enjoyed listening to music, and she cherished the times she could cook for her family and gather them all together. What she enjoyed most of all is the time she spent with her sons and grandchildren. She also liked watching movies and watching the Kansas City Chiefs.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her mother Rayetta McGill, two brothers Terry McGill, Jack Willis and one sister Anne Fulte. Her five sons, Anthony Gallardo III and his wife Monica of Prairie Village, Kansas, Vincent Joseph Gallardo of Lenexa, Kansas, Stephen D. Gallardo and his wife Kelly of Gardner, Kansas, Louis G. Poole III and his wife Melissa of Gladstone, Missouri and Brandon Ravenscroft and his wife Saritha of Hanover, Maryland survive her. Left behind to cherish her memory are her ten grandchildren Logan Gallardo (Robert), Madison Gallardo, Sloan Gallardo, Aaron Gallardo (Rebecca), Alexandria Gallardo, Austin Gallardo (Samantha), Alyssa Gallardo, Skyla Gallardo, Tyler Poole and Carter Poole. Her sixteen great grandchildren, her sister Barbara Sharp and her brother Thomas Willis both of Independence, Missouri, will sadly miss her.
Bonnie will be cremated according to her wishes. A “Celebration of Life” honoring the life of Bonnie Carol Poole will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels and Harvesters.
