William George Schmitz

William "Bill-Willy" George Schmitz, 67, of Jones, OK passed away on May 26, 2022. He was born on April 20, 1955 at Fort Chaffee in Fort Smith, AR. William was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bobbie Schmitz; sister, Linda Garrett; grandson, Dustin Galyan; and granddaughter, Bailey Veal. He is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; daughter, Tracy Smith & husband Bob of Tecumseh, OK; Stephanie Galyan of Stillwater, OK; daughter, Machelle Webb of Jones, OK; sister, Patti Minyen & husband Mike of Wayne, OK; sister, Pamela Brimm of Kenedy, TX; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

After high school he enlisted in the National Guard, while enlisted he went to work for OG&E. He worked in several departments: lineman, the trouble department, and the underground department. After 39 years he decided to retire. He enjoyed retirement doing leather work and wood working for friends & family. He also loved going to different casinos with his wife.

A memorial service for William will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Bill Eisenhour NE Funeral Home Chapel, with a private burial to be held at a later date.
