Wanda Fay McKay

Wanda Fay McKay, 88 year-old resident of Harrah, OK, passed away Sept. 15, 2017 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born June 22, 1929 in Granite, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Emmett Blasingame and Minnie (Hassell) Blasingame. Wanda was born and raised in Granite, Oklahoma. First and most importantly, Wanda was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She was a longtime nurse’s aide who married J. M. McKay in 1948. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, J. M. McKay in 1969; and two brothers, Lloyd and Archie Blasingame. Survivors include three children, Leslie and her husband Gordon Jeney; Danna and her husband Robert Pierce; and Jim and his wife Deborah McKay; 6 grandchildren, Laura; Kari; Kelli; Jonathan; Dustin; and Kyle; 10 great-grandchilden; and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 at the Granite City Cemetery, Granite, Oklahoma with Reverend Tim Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Granite City Cemetery, Granite, Oklahoma.
