Henry was born June 7, 1939 in Los Angeles, CA to loving parents Henry Paul Sr. and Dorothy Fay (Smith) Stephen. His parents didn't want him to be referred to as Junior so they nicknamed him "Steve" and it stuck all throughout his life.
Steve was smart and was known to work hard to achieve his goals. One of his greatest accomplishments was completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from California State University in Los Angeles. Steve also spent time proudly serving our country with the US Air Force Reserves. Before moving to Oklahoma in 2017, he previously resided in Colorado and California. He was very active in the community as a civic leader and private business owner. His work ethic was impeccable and he showed his family that hard work truly pays off. Persistence, being accountable, and responsible are life lessons he found most important and he practiced those qualities daily.
Steve married the love of his life, Jane on November 1, 2002. Jane was the best thing to happen to him. As a family man, he dedicated everything he did to them. His perfect day would consist of simply listening to folk music while spending time with his family who he loved all so dearly. Steve especially loved the Colorado Mountains.
He is preceded in death by his parents Henry Stephen Sr. and Dorothy Stephen, and brothers, Robert and Charles Stephen.
Steve is survived by wife, Jane Stephen, siblings, David and wife, Carolyn of Seattle, WA and Cindy Crist of Atascadero, CA, children, Kevin Stephen of Mexico City, Christopher “Kit” Stephen and wife, June of Paraparaumu, New Zealand, Scott Stephen and wife, Alicia of Littleton, CO, step children, Col. Richard Ropoc of Oklahoma City, OK, Sharon Marcoccia of Roseville, CA, and Sandy Harwood and husband, Chris of Fair Oaks, CA. Steve also leaves to carry on his legacy his grandchildren Kaley, Ethan, Ciara, Taylor, and Josh, great granddaughter, Violet, four nieces, six nephews, his fur babies, Molly and Maggie.
Steve, you were one of a kind! You will be greatly missed!
