Sandra “Ann” Faught, 71, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in Oklahoma City. She was born on November 17, 1943 in Columbus, Indiana to the late Dr. Bill and Jackie Bowerman. She was an amazing influence in the lives of all who knew her. Her eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren knew her as “Granny Ann”.
She attended Northwest Classen High School and was a graduate of Oklahoma State University. For the next ten years, following the completion of her college career, Ann taught fifth grade. She followed her classroom years with twelve years as Office Manager for ABC Furniture in Oklahoma City. It was during those early days of teaching that Ann met and married the love of her life, Don Faught. They enjoyed traveling, nature, art, and animals. Whether it was rock hunting in New Mexico or geo caching in Colorado, Ann was always ready to turn another page in her life filled with learning and growth. She expressed her creativity through making jewelry, ceramics, and other crafts. Her love for learning made her an avid reader. But most importantly, Ann was all about family.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Ann is survived by her husband, Don; two sisters, Susan and husband Ken Hammond of Poteau, OK and Jane Bowerman of Norman, OK; one son, Craig and wife Sandra of Oklahoma City, OK; two step-daughters, Cindy and husband Rick Parker of Moore, OK and Ginger and husband Larry Foster of Purcell, OK; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
