Rick, was born in Seattle, Washington to Pete Garcia and Karen Sue Clark Garcia on April 3, 1970. He left our world on August 8, 2012 after a long battle with injuries suffered from an accident in New York City. He is survived by his Dad, Pete Garcia, his Mom, Sue Tytgat, his sister Kara Miranda and brother-in-law Eric Miranda; a niece, Allyssa Miranda and three nephews Nicholas, Shane and Brendan Miranda and his sweet, precious cat, Sinatra. Rick was loved by so many. Through his beautiful soul he touched us all with his brilliant humor, unequaled wit, and his infectious laugh. He has helped us all through good times and bad. He could critique a movie better than the most renowned movie critic – a pastime he treasured. He was a strong advocate for equal rights and had strong opinions about the condition of the world. He had a big, kind and generous heart, and he was a lover of animals and ALL things living. When he had his accident, he had to leave his beloved New York City to come Midwest City to recuperate. However he never stopped missing New York and the wonderful friendships he developed there and all the wonderful people who’ve touched his life along his life’s journey. He is going to be so terribly missed – He will be never forgotten. Memorial Service at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, August 14 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd St, OKC, OK 73141.
