Richard Morris Eden, eldest son of Roscoe and Hazel Eden, was born April 3, 1929, near Monett, MO and was a graduate of Monett HS and Monett Junior College. He passed away on November 16, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Richard graduated from the University of Tulsa and became a CPA. His career in the US Air Force spanned 1948 to 1980 having reached the rank of Colonel with varied assignments as Navigator Instructor and in TAC, MAC, SAC and Civil Defense. After Air Force retirement he was employed at the OKC center of FAA as chief of Audit Division then chief of Accounting Division until retirement. He continued his practice as CPA in the OKC area for many years including being volunteer accountant for several charitable groups.
Richard was preceded in death by son Charles and survived by wife, Beth of OKC and Columbia, LA, sons Mike (Kelly) of Dallas, TX, David (Andrea) and Steve (Stacy) of Harrah, OK, stepchildren O.V. Perot and Alysia Perot Kirby of LA, brother, John, of Paragould, AR, and sister, Dorothy, of Kansas City, KS. Survivors also include two nieces, a nephew, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
