Richard Arlen Childs

He would marry June, the love of his life, on December 16, 1952. They would share 58 wonderful years before her passing in 2010, raising four wonderful daughters together throughout numerous moves and job-changes. They would eventually settle in Oklahoma in 1986.

Richard would join the Army in April of 1951, eventually rising to the rank of Lieutenant. At the same time, he would begin to study law at the University of Nebraska, receiving his Doctorate of Law in 1958. He would spend his life working various security jobs, starting with the FBI in Butte, Montana and Missoula from 1960 to 1962; then United Airlines as an Investigator in Charge; the FAA Sky Marshals in 1971; Frontier Airlines as the Director of Security from 1973 to 1986; he would retire from Seagate in 1998.

Richard is preceded in death by his wife June, daughter Judith Childs, and granddaughters Jennifer Moore and Jolene.

Richard is survived by his daughters Sharon Parisy and husband Steve of Oklahoma City; Cynthia Lugo and husband Doug of Oklahoma City; Sandra Nichols and husband Rick of Oklahoma; grandchildren Corinne Frye, Shannon Fry, Richie Nix, Chad Ogurek, Chris Parisy, Tricia Parisy, Justin Lugo, and Brandon Lugo; as well as sixteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
