Ricardo Ybarra

Ricardo Villareal Ybarra, age 88, of Oklahoma City, OK peacefully passed away on April 30, 2023, at home, with family present. He was the husband of Betty Jo Ybarra, they shared 35 years of marriage together.

Ricardo (Rick) was born April 17, 1935 in Robstown, Texas, to Basilio and Juanita Ybarra. He attended High School in Kingsville TX. He joined the United States Air Force at the age of 19, served his country for 22 years. Graduated from Central State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He worked at other various jobs throughout his life.

He enjoyed the great outdoors, whether it was playing golf, camping or wandering to whatever fishing hole he could find. He will be remembered for his straightforwardness and pride in his Hispanic Heritage.

He is survived by his wife Betty, his 6 children: Michael, Michelle, Peter, Marcia, Pilar and Richard and their Spouses, 21 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren, and Stepson William. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita and Basilio Ybarra, brothers Mike, Desi, Doroteo Ybarra and sister Lucy Jones, Grandchildren Tiffany Ybarra and Anthony McMurray, Stepson Jason Wadlow.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023, at 1:00pm at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Service South Chapel, 7720 S. Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159 with interment at the Resthaven Cemetery, 500 SW 104th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73139

Viewing/Visitation will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023, from 9:00am to the time of the service.
