Edgar Ray West, Jr. was born on a farm east of Edmond, OK, February 26, 1925, to Edgar Ray West, Sr. and Regina Rose (Kapinos) and passed away at home in Yukon on December 14, 2015.
He joined the US Navy and served in the Pacific theater and witnessed the effects of the atom bomb at Hiroshima, Japan. He was honorably discharged in 1945. He met and married Elvena M. Karban in 1960. He retired from the US Postal Service after 28 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and 3 sisters. He is survived by his daughters Jennifer Diane West and Debbie Chisum & husband Jon; two grandsons, Derek and Kyle Hadley; and sister Marcella Halliday.
