She married David E. Johnson, who preceded her in death, and they lived in Midwest City and Nicoma Park, where they raised their 4 children and made many memories full of family get togethers, food, fun, competitive table games and so many celebrations.
She later married Lowry Allen, who also preceded her in death, and they lived happily in Ada, Oklahoma.
In her early years, Peggy played basketball in high school and later in a mother’s league. She also painted, loved flower gardening, her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, but she especially loved the Lord and was dedicated in service to Him all of her years.
She was a wife, mother, grandmother and friend of the most generous kind, but she would want most to be remembered as a faithful child of God and a prayer warrior.
Peggy faithfully planted into the kingdom of God and into the lives and hearts of her family, friends and loved ones and that is where she will live on, until we meet again.
She was a student of scripture and continued to read daily; her favorite scripture was Psalms 103 and her favorite hymn, Blessed Assurance.
The daily reading for January 15th, the day of her passing, said ‘Through is a favorite word of God’s: When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. (Isaiah 43:2)
A private family graveside was held for Peggy at Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 13400 N. Kelley Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
