Omega Beyrer Merriman was born in Bethany, Oklahoma to parents Louis and Opal (Yeates) Megehee on March 14, 1950. Omega live in Oklahoma during her years in school, and ultimately graduated with her Master’s degree.
Once Omega finished school, she moved to Nile, California in her late twenties and stayed there until she moved back to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1998.
A perfect day for Omega would be listening to all types of music. She was known to stand on the top of a hill in a foreign country and sing songs to all who would listen. She loved to do anything with her sweet husband Jimmy. Omega enjoyed taking trips, especially somewhere new and exciting where she could teach everyone about the country, even if she’s never been there before. Omega dubbed herself the “Queen of Crap” because she knew so much about so many things and would teach it to anyone that would listen, this includes tour guides in their home countries.
Omega was a very joyful person and loved to remember the good times with friends and family. She will be remembered as a strong, funny woman who loved life. She also loved to have everyone over for a family meal, having all the children, grandchildren and even grand puppies around the table enjoying the meal she made for everyone.
Though she has passed away, Omega will live on through the memories she’s created with those that she held near and dear to her heart.
Omega Louise Beyrer Merriman was preceded in death by her parents Louise and Opal (Yeates) Megehee, her sister Charlene Johnson and her former husband Carl Beyrer.
