Oleta Wheeler Jones, born July 1, 1923 in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma to Ola Wheeler and Una Newton Wheeler. She passed away on June 17, 2011 at her home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 87 years. She was married to Charles Jones on March 18, 1940 in Lone Wolf. They had four children. Oleta dedicated her adult life to being a devoted wife, loving and nurturing mother and grandmother. She was a good playmate to all her children and grandchildren. She was best friend to her children, and taught them many important things, such as family first and the importance of ''dragging Main'' in small towns on Saturday afternoon. She sewed many dresses for her daughters, and it was always a labor of love. Oleta was a volunteer at Bethany General Hospital for many years. She was a strong Christian, loving and generous to many friends and family members. She was a good role model and a strong influence on her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing "makeover'' with her granddaughters and ''farming'' with all her grandchildren. She was always there for her family in good times or bad. Her death leaves a huge hole in the hearts of those who knew and loved her and she will be greatly missed. Oleta was preceded in death by her parents, Una and Ola Wheeler, and her sister Pauline Wheeler Waldrop and son-in-law Walter Wendelken. She is survived by her husband Charles Jones of the home, four children, her daughter Lucille Wendelken of Yukon, Oklahoma, son, Clifford Jones and wife Doris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, daughters, Linda Jordan and husband Darrell of Bethany, Oklahoma and Janice Trosper and husband Ed, of Nashville, Tennessee, ten grandchildren, Jeff Couch of Yukon, Oklahoma, Monte Jones of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Leesa May of Round Rock, Texas, Andrew Jones of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Carin Lasley of Yukon, Oklahoma, Melanie Borowczyk of France, Matthew Jones of Oklahoma City, Maia Stacy of Oklahoma City, Eddie Trosper, Jr. of Purvis, Mississippi and Alicia Hayes of Springfield, Tennessee. She had 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
